Awfully Nice

Design, Development and CMS

Windsor based cake company, Awfully Nice, needed their out-of-date static site redisgned and upgraded to a CMS. After a consultation process which included 2 graphic designs, I delivered a Joomla managed CMS site.

With a possibile need for a shop integration in the future, I thought a Joomla/Virtuemart combination was a trusted, well supported and easy to implement solution.

Skills used: Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Joomla, Client consultation and support

Design input from awfully nice was:

Colour palette: white, mint green, violet, pink, a little grey/silver
I’d like the backgrounds to look like vintage/old-fashioned wallpaper. I quite like the idea of the pictures of the ranges to be in old-fashioned photo frames that hang at jaunty angles and the pics in the galleries to look like polaroids pinned on a noticeboard. I can provide examples for the wallpaper and photo frames

With this in mind I set to work
